She became just an object on the shelf. Something that he could take off the shelf and throw down whenever he desired.
It wasn't always like this. The first day he got this porcelain girl, he took care of it. He protected it from breaking. He saw her worth. Yet after awhile, he could not comprehend the beauty of her heart and soul. He forgot what it was like to protect her. He forgot that she was beautiful... inside and out.
You see in the eyes of everyone else, she was a delicate treasure.
She sat there on the shelf waiting patiently, thinking that maybe he would remember. Maybe one day he would remember what it was like...
But she realized this was simply a figment of her imagination....
She was the foolish one.
By trying to please, she only lost more of who she was.
She gave up her heart only to find this could not be returned.
Sharp words were thrown at this Porcelain girl....
It was painful... they could be forgiven but would never be forgotten.
It was a sad sight to see her in this way.
Her heart was shattered as pieces of it fell onto the floor...
It was as fragile as glass.
Her sweet porcelain face cried tears of sorrow.
She cried until there was nothing left to cry about.
The broken hearted porcelain girl watched as he closed the door.
He did not try to pick up the pieces that were left shattered on the floor.
He no longer wanted any part. Nothing. He walked away.
And then she remembered those words that shattered her precious little heart...
When those words echoed throughout the craters of her being, she could no longer bear the pain and ran.
The porcelain girl ran away to her original creator and dollmaker.
It was at the shop, the dollmaker reminded her that everything was going to be alright. The dollmaker was the one who truly saw her worth and reminded her that the one who chose to walk away and close the door really didn't know how to properly care for her. The dollmaker was the one who had the proper instructions of how to take care of this precious porcelain girl... The dollmaker whispered into her sweet porcelain face that one day, someone will ask for the instructions of how to really take care of her. Someone would treasure her. And that would be the day she would open her heart up again. One day. One day.
